An Evening with Julian Lloyd Webber
World renowned musician Julian Lloyd Webber introduces his wife, fellow cellist Jia Xin and her pianist partner, Di Xiao, in a magical musical evening featuring Bach, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Rachmaninov.
This unique concert is filled with unforgettable music and, quite possibly, unforgettable anecdotes as Julian takes his audience on a musical journey through his extraordinary career.
As a member of arguably the most influential musical dynasty of modern times, Julian Lloyd Webber will recount stories and anecdotes of touring, recording sessions, concerts and TV shows to link with a new presentation of rare video footage of him talking and performing with the likes of Nigel Kennedy, Elton John, Katherine Jenkins, Tim Rice, Yehudi Menuhin, Joaquin Rodrigo, Cleo Laine, Stephane Grappelli and many others.
Julian will also be inviting two locally-based young cellists to bring along their own cellos to be coached by the maestro himself in a separate workshop. This will give them a once-in-lifetime opportunity to have a mini masterclass with one of the most successful British musicians of the last 50 years.
